Abstract
The three-state Potts model on a Bethe lattice with arbitrary coordination number is reviewed. By the method of self-consistent equations for this model the phase transition temperature, the temperature dependence of the order parameter, the pair correlation function and correlation length were found. It is shown that the phase transition is of first order, the correlation length has no divergence in the phase transition point, but at this point takes the maximum value.
